“Who is considered ‘Western’?”

The term “Western” does not merely refer to someone residing in a particular geographical region; rather, it signifies a person whose worldview is shaped by ideologies such as materialism, humanism, secularism, and liberalism. Such an individual is regarded as a materialist. In contrast, one whose faith is rooted in God, His Messenger (PBUH), the divine scriptures, and the divinely appointed saints is identified as a Muslim. Hence, the notion of being “Western” is not a matter of geography, but an indication of a specific intellectual and ideological orientation.
