The “Educational and Training Workshop on Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.)” Organized by the Martyr Mutahhari Institute of Kashmir in Jammu

General Introduction to the Workshop

The “Educational and Training Workshop on Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.)”, organized by the Martyr Mutahhari Institute of Kashmir, served as a successful model for religious programs aimed at enhancing religious awareness, fostering social unity, and strengthening moral values in society. The wide participation from various segments of society and the specialized lectures delivered by esteemed scholars turned this program into an exemplary initiative for future religious activities. Continuing such programs can have a profound impact on the community, bringing the younger generation closer to religious and spiritual values.

I had the honor of participating as an instructor in this workshop and conducted a class titled “The Human Need for Religion,” focusing on the importance of religion in human life and providing practical solutions for expanding religious knowledge. This class lasted for nine hours.

Workshop Participants

A total of 56 participants from various backgrounds attended the workshop. The attendees included:

  1. Government School Teachers – who aimed to enhance their religious knowledge and transmit it to their students.
  2. Government Employees – who participated to gain a better understanding of the role of religion in society.
  3. Religious Students and Scholars – who sought deeper insights into religious teachings and theological discussions.

This diversity of participants highlighted the wide-reaching impact of the program across different sections of society.

Instructors and Speakers

To ensure the successful execution of the workshop, a number of prominent and experienced scholars participated, delivering daily lectures and addressing specific sessions on religious topics.

The main instructors, who conducted daily lectures, included:

  1. Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Manzoor
  2. Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Muhammad Jan
  3. Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Bashir Bhutto
  4. Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Iqbal Hussain Mir

Additionally, nine other scholars participated as guest speakers, addressing specialized topics throughout the workshop.

Workshop Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony of the workshop was held in the presence of distinguished personalities and benefactors, adding a special significance to the program. The key details of the closing event are as follows:

1. Presence of Notable Figures and Benefactors

More than 20 distinguished personalities from Kashmir and philanthropists attended the closing session. These individuals are key supporters of the Martyr Mutahhari Institute and actively contribute financially and morally to religious programs in the region.

2. Participation of the Faithful from Jammu

A group of believers from Jammu also attended the event, expressing their keen interest in the continuation of such programs in the future.

3. Speech by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Ghulam Hussain Matoo

The closing ceremony featured a thought-provoking speech by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Ghulam Hussain Matoo, in which he emphasized:

  • The importance of religion in human life
  • The role of religion in shaping moral and social structures
  • The necessity of expanding such educational and religious programs

4. Reception and Dinner

At the end of the ceremony, the participants were served dinner in a warm and friendly atmosphere, providing an opportunity for dialogue and interaction among attendees.
