Jammu, August 7, 2025:
A magnificent commemoration ceremony marking the Chehlum (40th day) of the revered scholar, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Allama Syed Abul Qasim Rizvi, was held at the central Shia Jama Masjid in Jammu and Kashmir. A large number of people attended, including delegations of youth and students from Poonch and Ladakh.
The program began at 2:00 PM and continued until 10:00 PM. Scholars and speakers highlighted the late Rizvi’s scholarly, spiritual, and social contributions, noting his valuable services in spreading Islamic teachings, nurturing the younger generation, and serving the Shia community of the region.
Several prominent scholars were present, including:

- Allama Jawad Habib (Representative of the Office of the Supreme Leader)

- Allama Karamat Hussain
On behalf of the Representative of the Supreme Leader in India, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Abdul Majeed Hakim Elahi, Sheikh Jawad Habib conveyed a message of condolences to the participants and the family of the late scholar, which was warmly received with gratitude.
Speakers emphasized that the late Allama Rizvi was not only a trusted scholar but also a servant of the people and a true leader of the community.
The ceremony was deemed highly successful in terms of public turnout, organizational discipline, and spiritual atmosphere—reflecting the deep respect and affection the people of the region hold for Allama Rizvi.
